Jackets for Sambo

Sambo training calls for specific equipment, and the jacket — known as a “sambovka” — is its most important piece. It resembles a judo kimono in some ways: long sleeves, a wrap-around front, and a wide belt, though cut a little shorter. Its defining feature is a set of reinforced lapels (“wings”) on the shoulders, built specifically for grips. Regulation sambo jackets come in red or blue only.
